Is my Pitching Staff good enough?

Postby bill1511 » Mon Mar 08, 2004 4:39 pm

My team is:

C- Kendall
1b- Sexson
2b- M. Giles
SS- Arod
3b- Mike Lowell
Of- Magglio
Of- Vernon Wells
Of- L. Berkman
Util- S. Green
Bn- E. Martinez
Bn- Podsednik
Bn- C. Floyd

PITCHING
SP- Mark Mulder
SP- R. Oswalt
RP- Dotel
Rp- Mantei
P- W. Miller
P- C. Zamrano
P- S. Ponson
Bn- D. Wells
Bn- J. Washburn

Is my pitching strong enough to win this league, I know I have the hitting. Standard 5x5 10 team head2head league.

I've debated on trading Berkman for Vazquez, should I or stick with it? Thanks you guys are the best!

If you can trade Berkman for Vazquez, I'd do it. Your OF is stacked...

Or try to trade Lowell and Mantei for a top notch Closer.
I don't like Mantei. he's not 100% healed. gets injured often. Valverde waiting for his chance. Lowell is injured right now also. don't know how bad.

I doubt you can get Vazquez for Berkman. I wouldn't do anything
now, you are absolutely loaded with bats. See how your pitching
does for the first 2 months, and then make a move if necessary.

Thanks guys. Still tho, even if I trade Berkman for Jaview, I can put in Podsenik for steals, I still have plenty of power.

I think people overestimate Posednik. Teams are going to much more aware of his stealing abilities this year. I also don't think the Brewers are going to give him the green light as much this year. No Sexson to drive him in this year. Why take all those chances of getting him thrown out.

Obviously you trade Berkman for Vazquez but I doubt someone will do that. I'd probably cut Edgar and pick up another pitcher. Find another closer who has some potential.
