Hello all from last years team we keep 4 players. 2 batters and 2 pitchers. Its a 12 team std roto.
My batters to choose from are-
Geovany Soto
Adrian Gonzalez
Atkins
Michael Young
Nelson Cruz
Rios
Carlos Lee
Longoria
Brandon Phillips
I am thinking my best bets are going to be Carlos Lee and Longoria. (keep in mind only 2 bats)
And my pitchers are-
Haren
Jon Lester
Harang
Scherzer
Gallardo
I am think the two best bet are going to be Haren and Lester. Anything different with these 4 or am i on the right track? Thanks and leave a link.

Yes, although I could see keeping Soto instead of Lee. I would take Lester and Haren also.

I'm gonna go with Hootie on this one. I think a lot of people have a soft spot for Lester for over-coming cancer and coming back to have a decent season and yadda yadda yadda. Bottom line is he's really just an average pitcher with an over-inflated value do to pitching for a great offensive team. We've seen much less of Gallardo, but what we have seen is enough to gamble on. Low ERA and WHIP with tons of strikeouts. Even if Lester could match his talent, he would never match the strike out totals.

I was giving some thaught to Gallardo but the fact that he hasnt pitched a full season yet kinda got me thinking. Lester has the experience and potental to be the ace. Thanks again for the help.

Lester also threw somewhere around a billion pitches last season. Seriously, look up his innings pitched (including playoffs) and then look back at pitchers in the last 5 years that have thrown that many innings and made LCS trips. Lester's arm is a good bet to go dead for the next 2 years or so.

I would say Longoria/Rios and Haren/Lester.
Soto is interesting but not too sold on him yet as a fantasy stud, He could be Mike Piazza or Sandy Alomar.
View my team.
