5x5 roto league, standard scoring, 10 teams. I've got the number 8 pick. We get to keep 2 players from year to year and get to keep them in the round we drafted them in the previous year. I'm considering 5 players this year and need your advice on which 2 I should keep. Should I go with the 2 best players regardless of round, or should I go with the 2 best players and that give me the most value for the round I get to keep them in? Thanks for the help. Here are the players follwed by the round I would keep them in.
Brandon Webb (2nd)
CC Sabathia (3rd)
Chad Billingsley (14th)
Jair Jurrjens (27th)
Carlos Quentin (28th)
Considering Billingsley and Quentin. Have thought about Billingsley and Jurrjens, so I could just focus on hitters and RP.

I would keep Billingsley due to only losing a 14th round pick...I would also keep Webb because he is so consistent. When spending a 2nd round pick I would want to know exactly what I am getting. Hope this helps.
If you could please help me out with my thread I would appreciate it.
- the thread is entitled pick 8 H2H Points league
Good luck man,

Brandon Webb (2nd)
CC Sabathia (3rd)
Chad Billingsley (14th)
Jair Jurrjens (27th)
Carlos Quentin (28th)
easiest choice here is carlos quentin in the 28th. that is crazy value. my 2nd choice would be billingsley in the 14th but if you truly want a stud, sabathia in the 3rd might be ok too (i wouldnt do it though)

On the surface Billingsley and Quentin. As others have said CC or Webb could be debated and not seen as crazy. Did you go through and mock out who may fall to you in the 2nd or 3rd round based on others' expected keepers and draft positions? This could help greatly. If you are HATING the value you'd get in the 3rd, and truly believe in CC over Bills, then that could be the difference. If on the other hand you are seeing players that you'd love to get in the 3rd, its a no brainer to leave that pick open.
