Need some help

Postby sbabaganush » Fri Feb 27, 2009 6:47 pm

I have the first pick overall in a 16 team on going keeper league.

My keepers are, A-rod, Rollins, Sizemore and Lincecum.

However I am trying to decide who is best to take first overall. The best talent remaining for the first pick are, Beltran, Kemp, Quentin and Hamels. With all of that in mind which of those four players should I choose and why?

Beltran

Your 4 keepers are studs so I don't think whoever you draft will be a keeper next year so just go with the best player available regardless of age

Oh sry, we will be increasing to 5 keepers next year, this year was 4. Just in case that makes a differance.

Beltran might be better this year but I like Kemp. I am not high on Quentin and you already have a great pitcher.
Kemp it is.

Beltran
Quentin
Hamels
Kemp

I think Kemp is rather over hyped, and will be just another slightly above-average OF. If you look at his rankings and projections among other outfielders from site to site they are all over the place.
Yahoo 16th (37th over all)
CBS 22th (59th over all)
Rotoworld 26th (103rd overall)

We really need to see another season from him. I'd keep Beltran and Quentin first (and even Hamels third).
