I think the Yankees will be all over this honestly.
Yeah, yesterday after finalizing the pitching staff Brian Cashman said he was waiting to see what cuts other teams made before deciding which infielder would be added to the 40 man roster. It seems very possible that he could have been referring to McPherson.

I hope not as he'll be a bench player once ARod comes back. On the Astros, he has the potential to be a full-timer for the 1st time in his career. Plus, the ballpark is more hitter friendly and his spot in in the order would seem to be better for Hou.
according to rotoworld.com McPherson has signed with the San Francisco Giants.
According to Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Giants have signed Dallas McPherson to a minor league contract. McPherson, a former top prospect, was released by the Marlins at the end of spring training. The Giants will get him started at Triple-A Fresno. "There's always a hope in our minds than anyone in our minor-league system has an upside," VP of baseball operations Bobby Evans said Saturday when asked about the 28-year-old's potential. "It's hard to argue with his bat."
why would he want to sign with the Giants? they have Sandoval at 3B and Ishikawa at 1B. how could McPherson get a starting chance?

Bank on Sandoval moving over to 1B and Ishikawa eventually being benched imo.
At this point, since Ishikawa is doing so horrible in April, any chance McPherson will get called up and replace Ishikawa or do you think Ishikawa will bounce back from his horrid slump?
