I think I have 4 very droppable players, but just wanted to check with you guys before making some roster moves. Looking to pickup FA's J.Gibbons (27 years old and full of talent, could be HIS year), B.Penny(a solid backup SP), T.Worrell (an expected closer on a good team in a weak division) and either Hampton/Weaver or Affeldt.

Other avail. FA's include:
hitters- R.Sanders, K. Lofton, R. Sanders, J.Guillen
pitchers- Fe. Rod, K. Farnsworth, M. MacDougal, C. Cordero, J. Speier, Ol. Perez, S.Chacon

I like this team a lot. It's got a little of everything. A few thoughts.

I think you're gonna need to keep Roberts so that your competitive with steals.

You could use a 3rd closer. Worrell ISN'T expected to be the closer in Phillie since Wagner came to town. I'd grab MacDougal and Chacon off the waiver wire. Both of those guys have a chance to get a lot of saves.

I also like Gibbons, but I'd go for Guillen instead. He put together a great rookie year and I think he's worth taking a chance on.

Please don't advertise your threads in mine :-D, you'll see I got to yours when I was able ;-D

So, I'm interested in MacDougal, J.Guillen and R.Sanders but not sure who I'd drop for any of them.

Thanks, again.

I'd drop Sheets, Marte and Jackson in that order.

I agree with that. Sheets, Marte, Jackson. But I'm not sure that the guys you named are worth dropping your players for.
