I agree with you that Wright is a 5 category stud, but I think Reyes gets so much love because its not unbelievable to think that Reyes can put up a line like .300 20 HRS 120 R's and 75SB's. Throw in 72 RBI's and that is a ridiculous stats.

Now I remember when everyone was saying this about Carl Crawford hitting 20 Hr's and driving in 100 to go along with his 50 steals, and that never came to be, but Reyes is an unbelievable talent.

I have an interesting situation involving two of my favorite players (Reyes and Wright). I have Longoria as a keeper. I feel absolutely handcuffed in taking Reyes w/ the fourth pick even though we play DH and Utility. Both guys IMO will perform near their projected values which is almost equal speaking in a points-based league. In a 5x5 roto league Wright is the way to go. Below are CBS projections:

Projections: Avg HR RBI R SB
Reyes .290 16 65 120 60
Wright .301 31 118 110 19

Avg and R are not significantly different. Leaving three categories that are significantly different (HR, RBIs, SB). Wright wins 2 out of the 3.
Now if Reyes bats 3rd some numbers will swing: I would expect Reyes to have decreased SB but an increase in RBI and HR (ex 85 RBI, 20 HR, 40 SB). Its an interesting dilemna, but nothing to lose any sleep over.

Wright, then take your best OF and 2B in the 2nd and 3rd. Then hope you can grab a guy like Alexei Ramirez in the 4th or 5th?
