Santana for Sizemore?

Postby ru4life3 » Fri Feb 27, 2009 4:41 am

I was thinking of offering one of the guys in the league Santana for Sizemore in a one for one deal. You guys think that would be a good deal all around? I want to add some offense since there is not much out there in the draft since we have 8 keepers in a 12 team league. What do you all think? I was thinking of offering Santana and my 3rd round pick for Sizemore and his 1st round pick (really the 8th round). Sound fair, or is it too much with the draft picks??

Here is my current team:

He probably won't take that. It's always worth a try though.

First things first, does he need pitching. If not do not insult him with that offer because it is an unbalance one. First off Sizemore is more valuable than Santana and than you want to include your 3rd for his 1st, No way is that a fair offer. Now on the other hand if he is in desperate need of pitching he may except the 1 for 1, but again the draft picks are off base. The worst thing an owner can do is offer a insulting trade.

I agree with rupertooo

Sizemore > Santana in a 1 on 1. If you include the draft picks I would be insulted if I owned Sizemore. I know some owners like to offer lopsided trades that they know will get rejected just to get the trade talks started and hope for a counter but I don't. I feel that if an owner is serious about a trade they should start with an offer that is close enough to get me to consider it and than we can work things out.
