Watched the guy pitch today and all I can say is wow! Fastball hit 99 and he has a disgusting slider/curve combo..This guy is going to be elite unless something freakish happens..

I thought he was pretty sharp with his command considering it was his first appearance...I knew the guy had good stuff but I didnt realize it was that good...His curve is sick but his slider is absolutely jaw dropping..He hit his spots pretty well..He walked a guy and then hit another so thats what led to his runs...

Apparently there was some problem with the baseballs being used... supposedly the pitchers were complaining of how they were rubbed. Would explain all the HBP in the game.
As far as Hanson, there is virtually no way to buy low on him now. There is a reason the Braves wouldn't trade him for Peavy....

He just had his first start for AAA. He only went 4.1 innings but otherwise had a pretty good outing- 4.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 10 K

A friend of mine does prospect rankings on his site. He has Hanson ranked 10th overall. His stuff is just sick from what I read. He explains it better than I can. If you are interested, check it out.
http://baseballinstinct.com/2009/02/17/ ... 2009-1-10/Kinda happy. A couple of my prospects made his list.
Hope this helps.
