Keeper dynasty league, salary cap - need to bolster my team...I don't have a bona fide ace and I can get Webb. Is my pitching staff good enough as is? Here's how it breaks down:

Uggla, Dan 2B FLA
Zimmerman, Ryan 3B WAS
Furcal, Rafael SS LA
Braun, Ryan J. LF MIL
Granderson, Curtis CF DET
Pence, Hunter RF HOU
Davis, Chris 3B TEX

Cueto, Johnny SP CIN
Jimenez, Ubaldo SP COL
Lee, Cliff SP CLE
Liriano, Francisco SP MIN

Capps, Matt RP PIT
Samardzija, Jeff RP CHC

Lowrie, Jed SS BOS

I would do that for you. I think most people are in the same boat that Lee will not be nearly as good as he was last year.

If you break it down Webb is superior to Lee; Dice-K is probably worth more Gallardo even though people are big on Gallardo this year; and Cueto is nothing more than a throw in.

I say do it, Webb/Dice-K/Liriano is a pretty good top 3.

thank you. I guess that makes sense. My only question, is what's the real drop off from those guys to the guys I have. Granted Gallardo is unproven and Lee had one good season - but I got to think the drop off won't be huge

I would do it too. I think Lee is the "shinny object" in the room and that he will not have the same year on a not so great team. Love the trio Webb / Dice-K / Liriano.

Thank you...it just feels like it looks nice, but at those prices, the bang for my buck is too good to trade away...

You say it's a keeper dynasty auction league...so the prices are very important...what are the prices of the players involved?

Oh I thought I put that there:

Dice ($15) / Webb ($25)

Cliff Lee ($1) / Gallardo ($7) / Cueto ($1)

$300 cap. I have money to spare - about $100, but I can save that on the redraft

I don't like those prices on Dice / Webb, I'd pass :-t and take my chances on Lee/Gallardo/Cueto.

WOW...that does change things. Basically Dice-K/Webb/Gallardo or close to market value, but Cueto and Lee are absolute steals (i.e. much better values).

At first I thought give me Webb & Dice-K, but now that I see the values of the players, I'd stick with what you got...Is this pre-draft or post-draft?
