Minor league package for Johan

A manager put Johan Santana on the block and he said he's interested in the following players... What would be a fair trade to offer?

What do the options mean? What is Johan's contract?

I'd trade all of them for Johan and just pick up different minor leaguers. Seriously. None of them are guaranteed to ever do anything and you're trading them for arguably the best pitcher in the majors. That said, I have no idea what options are.

Depends on what Johan will do for you. Are you close to contending this year? Are you still a bottom half team? If adding Johan still won't move up to the upper half of the league I would probably keep all my prospects depending on how many of them he wants. If you can get away with just trading a couple of those guys away I'd do it in a heartbeat...if he's asking for all of those guys I'd look at what Johan will do for me in the next year or two and go from there.

I'd try Santana and his choice of one pitcher. Actually, for Johan, make it any one hitter and any one pitcher.

If he insists, give him two pitchers, but keep Cahill for yourself.

How hard is it for your to recoup prospects? In my league, you can't just fill open slots, and so trading them away means the potential for empty minor league spots.

If you can pick up minor league FAs after the deal, then I'd pretty much give him anything he wants, assuming that there are minor league FAs you like.
