standard 5x5 13 team $260 auction. i can only keep the player for one year. I am leaning towards Ervin, reason being I have Price at $5 and Dempster at $4. I then have a stellar start at SP and can focus on BATS. Please help, am I making a mistake and why? WHIR

Santana at $4 is a much better value than Hamilton at $23. The money you save with Santana can go towards getting a hitter like Hamilton in the auction.
Good luck.

Dempster is not worth spit IMO. Ervin for 4 dollars, he's ace material you'll see. This is a no brainer. I normally like keeping bats over pitchers, but this disparity is big enough to warrant against my own rule.

thank you fellas, I pulled the trigger and traded Josh. I thought the same thing, more value in a $4 E. Santana than a stud Hamilton for $23. More opinions are surly welcome. and WHIR

I think you made the right move... any maybe you can get Hamilton back in the draft and the cost of him + $4 would still be cheaper than keeping Hamilton and trying to bid on a pitcher of Ervin's calibre.
