Andrew Brackman?

What do you guys think of him? I'm pretty high on him, and I was very excited when the Yanks drafted him in 2007, but he has yet to do anything (mostly due to the injury which was expected) and he only has a couple of options left at 23.

From what I can tell this guy will be a very good major league starter. He has a mid-90s fastball that tops out at 99, good movement on his 2-seamer (I'm sure his height helps here), a solid changeup, and a ridiculous knuckle-curve.

His numbers in college weren't great but he was hurt the last 2 seasons, and when he was healthy he was a two sport athlete. I think just focusing on baseball and being healthy will do wonders for him.

Personally I think it's possible he has a Joba Chamberlian like year and rises quickly his first pro-season. I think best case he's competing for a starting job in spring next year, but there is also a lot of risk.

Really? I mean he'd be almost 25 then, you don't see him moving quickly?

He's very raw, hasn't pitched for 2 years, and is coming off major arm surgery. He hasn't even pitched an inning of professional ball. A September call-up in 2010 is probably optimistic and he'd only get there if he didn't hit any bumps in the road.
