Good $1 pitchers to target?

Postby wfbdan » Tue Feb 24, 2009 1:51 pm

I am in a 16 team 5x5 roto auction league. I am wondering who do you feel are some really good potential $1 pitchers to target on draft day. It doesn't matter if they are starters or relievers. Thanks for the input.

Wandy Rodriguez
David Purcey
Sean Marshall
Kenshin Kawakami
Hong Chih Kuo
Jordan Zimmermann

In no particular order here. And I'm sure some of these guys will sell for more than $1.

It's difficult to predict that sort of thing. Even with Lannan and Anibal Sanchez, you can't really be sure that they will end up selling for $1.

OK, I guess I'll get in on this although most of mine have been listed.

Ryan Rowand-Smith
Josh Outman (it's some kind of weird non-homosexual man crush, don't ask me to explain it)
Koji Uehara
Rich Hill
Aaron Poreda
Brian Bannister (pretty horrible so far, but I see something there)
Scott Baker, Kevin Slowey, Nick Blackburn and/or Glen Perkins (Twinkies are gonna have a great rotation when these guys develop)
Andy Sonnanstine
Ricky Romero (Marcum and McGowan now both out for the season, Jays will need to give him a spot)
Jonny O. Sanchez
Kyle Kendrick (The kid put on a good show, but I think it's all over personally. Too bad, it was hard not to root for him)
Freddy Garcia (Meh, people are still taking a chance on Willis, maybe he'll make a comeback)
Andrew Miller
Maybe even Jason Schmidt

EDIT: There's talk Aaron Heilman might join the rotation too
