Gordon Beckham trade advice.

Postby hojo17 » Tue Feb 24, 2009 12:01 pm

I'm in a Keeper League that also has a 10 - 15 man Minor League squad that is a forever keeper. We do not have any pitching so there isn't really any hidden gems to find. Most of us have Gulf Port players. We are allowed anyone that has ever been drafted by a MLB club...even if they go back to college.

I have been offered Matt Dominguez, #3 overall pick this year, #1 next year (anywhere from 1 - 10'th overall), and a 2'nd next year (anywhere from 11 - 20) for Gordon Beckham.

What is the outlook for Beckham...long and short.

I thought Dominguez was supposed to be a stud as well.

Would you trade Beckham for Dominguez and Pablo Sandoval...and mabye a pick or so. Thoughts on Sandoval?

This year if he has catcher eligibility he's great, once if loses it (or if he has lost it in you league) he's Travis Ishikawa at best.

Thanks for the input. I traded G. Beckham for Dominguez, Sandoval, and the #3 overall pick. The guy is a Georgia fan, but I don't know how good he will be. Doesn't look like he will hit for that much power anyway.

I also had the real Beckham...Tim. :)
