I think the question about Howard really depends on where you pick in that first round. If you pick first, then you can probably do better. If you pick last, then maybe not.

I will be picking in the 13th spot. I would say that 6-7 of the top 15 players are being kept and about 5 of those ahead of me will be keeping their 1st rounders, but it's all a guess at this point.

i doubt you ever get anyone near howard's level with the 13th overall pick so i think you have to keep him.

That's what I keep going back to. Players like Hanley, Reyes, Braun, Hamilton, Wright, Kinsler, Fielder, and Berkman are all going to be kept guaranteed. Odds are Howard would be the 4th-5th best player left, and 6-8 people are picking in front of me.

I guess going in with Howard, Holliday, and Fuentes, and having an early 2nd round pick isn't a bad spot to be in.
