I found this thread to be very amusing. I've played in a very casual yahoo league with some online friends the last four years. It is a 12x10 roto league, but there aren't any defensive stats used. I've won this thing the last three years.

I really pissed off a guy in this league a couple of years ago when I dumped all of my closers in the last month of the season and replaced them with setup guys from contending teams. The push that I got in holds gave me just enough points to pass him up and win the league.

What some guys don't realize is that the junk stat catagories count just as much in the standings as the sexy stats catagories.
