This is what a 10 team league team should look like. You did a real good job filling out your line-up. You may lack that one speedster, and did a decent job with several 5 tool guys, but will not dominate that cat. I would love your closers if you had one more, preferable one ranked between the two you have. But, they always appear on the WW, and one of your upside/veteran SP will inevitably become dropable for these pieces. CC and E. Santana is a nice start, and Slowey seems to be a popular #3, though I dislike the high ERA and lower K totals. If Verlander gets it together, you will not need as many of your questions marks to become answers. Good draft, especially on you positional players!
What do you think about Tyler Walker as a saves option? He put up solid numbers last season and Seattle will probably win some close games. He appears to be the top option going into the year so I'm thinking of picking him up.
I also know I need speed, which does worry me. I think I can get 20 from Hart and then maybe 30 from Andrus. After that I'm going to need something. Any ideas? Anyone I should target?
You may be able to go the cheap route for some speed, and hit the WW for a speedy 2B to take over for Polanco. He is a nice steady option, but offers very little 'cept for his avg. The other option would be to move some of your great OF or sleeper type SPs (if anyone in the league values them).
Real solid all around team...Like was stated before you lack speed, but with your amazing OF you could easily flip one of those guys for a burner which would really help you out IMO. Your SP will be hit or miss, I'm still not sold on Santana yet and the rest of your staff has a lot of question marks surrounding their productivity IMO. Other than that, team should compete depending you get a couple of your lower starters to be consistent.
Looks like a good draft to me. Like what has been said, you might need to upgrade in the speed category by trading one of your outfielders. Perferably I would upgrade for a speedster at either ss or 2b. Good team all around though.
I agree with everyone else. Very very solid team. Solid solid solid. Great offense with pop, and a great pitching staff. I like Zimmerman and Napoli, you have a very well balanced team. See if you can trade for Jacoby Ellsbury, I have a feeling he is in for a HUGE season and you could uses some steals...
