all you guys speaking of "great to play without the threat" etc... really have nothing to worry about now. its still legal and very simple for US players to play on the two major poker sites (stars and full tilt).
i think its great that the "casual player" would be coming back. better for my bank, but im worried if they start taking something like 33 % when you want to cash out. you'd have to be a pretty successful player to bring back big profits, although im sure they'd be several loopholes to avoid this.

The major problem for me is that I don't trust a lot of the sites out there. With the Absolute Poker/Full Tilt fiasco's among others, I'm hesitant to buy back in.
If it is regulated, that no longer becomes a worry.

stars and full tilt are about as safe as they could possibly be.

If it isn't Tilt then it is a different one, but there have been numerous reports of "supper accounts" and such which always creeped me out when playing. But I'll echo what others have said in this thread - while I'd love to start playing online again, nothing beats a 10 hour session at a B&M casino.

the super user accounts were on ultimate bet and absolute poker, i dont remember tilt having that problem. and about the B&M casinos... i'd probably kill myself after about 2 hours of trying to play seriously. live poker is so ridiculously boring it's insane.

Yes, I did get UB and Tilt mixed up.
I guess the difference for me is that when I played online it's at the micro limits and I was just doing it to pass the time. When I go to the casino, I'm playing at least 1-2 NL with a $300 buy in instead of .10/.25 NL with a $25 buy in. So when I win several hundred bucks in a day at the B&M, it's exciting to me...
gf and i spoke about this topic before, but i can easily see how a brick and mortar casino would be ridiculously boring to an online player who is used to seeing 200+ hands a minute as opposed to 20. i play for 10+ hours at a time without flinching but there are still times where i can go 3-4 hours without seeing a legit hand and can become bored.
i play online, but i dont really multi-table so i guess B&M is still ok to me.
i also find B&M to be much more profitable in today's poker world.
