Kyle Gibson 4-2 41ip 32h 57k 9bb 2.63ERA

vs.

AJ Morris 7-0 46.1ip 27h 49k 15bb 0.39ERA

Morris is no where the prospect that Gibson is, but he's surprisingly solid this year and can probably go in the top 5 somewhere. If not higher.

Awesome, I expect a scouting report in by Sat morning! ;-D ;-7

Jared Mitchell, OF, LSU

Has always had the speed but is really putting things together at the plate so far this year....

69AB / .377/.552/.681 / 4HR / 26BB / 19K / 23SB-3CS

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anthony Ranaudo, SP, LSU

Giant kid...6'7"...who has really nice stuff and good body control for a big kid(good basketball player). He was dinged up last year but the 12IP he did throw didn't result in an ER and had 13K.

So far this year.... 6 starts in... 38IP / 25H / 13ER / 13BB(3.08BB/9) / 60K(14.21K/9) / 3.08ERA / 1.00WHIP

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Austin Ross, SP, LSU

Another LSU pitcher having a good year. 2 time SEC pitcher of the week has plus plus command. Any time a kid has 3BB in his first 6 starts is worth keeping an eye on.

6 starts in.... 36.1IP / 26H / 10ER / 3BB(.74BB/9) / 33K(8.17K/9) / 2.48ERA / 0.80WHIP

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brandon Workman, SP, Texas

Threw a no-no against Penn State earlier this year. A plust fastball and a plus curve he's got some real potential.

6 starts in...37.2IP / 22H / 9ER / 7BB(1.67BB/9) / 39K(9.32K/9) / 2.15ERA / 0.77WHIP

For fun, does anyone care to project who the Top 10 would be, in order, in the Draft this summer (based on current stats & "hype")? I assume Strasburg will go first, but beyond that, I am fairly uninformed about the other guys (like Ackley, Gibson, Green, etc.), and their "draftability."

Mike Leake, SP, Arizona State
Another strong outing from Mike... 8IP / 4H / 1ER / 1BB / 4K

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Josh Spence, SP, Arizona State
Josh is another Arizona State pitcher who has put together a very impressive college career thus far.

A.J. Morris had another solid outing beating Nebraska.

7.2 IP, 7H, 3BB, 3ER.

Him tiring out as the season goes on could be a problem since they let him throw 139 pitches yesterday.

Morris is having a good year but it's the first in 3 years so I'm not nearly as sold on him as the other pitchers that are out there. He also doesn't have 1 plus pitch to work with either....solid college pitcher this year but not sure how much of a MLB prospect he is.

Who's the A&M pitcher worth watching again?

Sticking to the Big 12, AJ Morris is 8-0 in 8 starts. Before he beat the Huskers Friday he was boasted an ERA of 0.39 with a .163 BAA. 2 ER in 46.1 IP. 49/15 K/BB rate. KState's not known for their baseball, but this kid's for real.
