This one seems a bit easier as I think I should take an OF...question is which OF do I take? Can't believe some of these guys are left but for anyone who hasnt helped me before, there has been a huge pitching run going on the whole draft basically...only recently have many owners been filling their position spots. Meanwhile I have focused on hitting but am starting to build a staff also. My plan is to go OF here (#150), then a P at my next pick (#159), then probably the best 3B at (#178), and mostly pitching from there on out as my hitting should be unmatchable by then! What does everyone think?? Which OF do I go with here...thinking Hart or Hawpe right? Or do I go for one of the P or 3B left now? I put the points of the OFs in the past below the list of players...most of the 3Bs have been projected for 330-360 in points but Gorden, Encarnacion, and maybe Kouz seem to have more upside from those projections. THANKS
....its a 14 team head-to-head POINTS league (scoring is below the player list)
MY TEAM SO FAR C - Martin 1B - Cabrera 2B - Kinsler SS - HRamirez 3B - OF - Hamilton OF - Kemp OF - OF - DH - AGonzalez U - U - P (start 14) - Gallardo, Kershaw, Fuentes
Best players left OF (I go here right?) - Hart, Ethier, Hawpe, CJackson, CBYoung, Damon, DYoung, JUpton, Damon, Milledge, Wells, DeJesus, etc.
3B (5 teams need a 3B yet) - Gordon, Encarnacion, Kouz, Mora, Crede, Beltre, Guillen, Reynolds, Lowell, Figgens, Glaus, Mora, Blalock
P (we start 14!) - BJ Ryan, FCordero, Devine, MGonzalez, Bell, Capps, Hoffman, Meche, Maine, Bedard, Parra, Slowey, Carpenter, JO Sanchez, Marshall, WRodriquez, ASanchez, Cueto, Guthrie, Arroyo, etc.
I think I want one of these first 3 I listed... 1) Hart (441 in 505AB, 424 in 612AB, 411 in 596AB) ...have we seen his best or does he have more upside?
2) Hawpe (431 in 516AB, 350 in 488AB, 380 in 517AB) ...better against lefties last year and more prominant spot in lineup this year = more at bats?
3) Ethier (310 in 447AB, 427 in 525AB, 405 in 548AB) ...I already have Kemp and Martin, too many Dodgers? We start 12 hitters
4) Jackson (325 in 415AB, 433 in 540AB, 428 in 578AB) ....Does he get full time ABs with Tracy back?
6) CB Young (381 in 569AB, 381 in 625AB, 378 in 593AB)

At first I was concerned about your speed, but then I saw it was a points league. Hart's BA won't hurt so much in this format. I'd go with him. I wouldn't be concerned about having too many players on one team. I was very close to saying Ethier. In a roto league I may have.
Yeah, I was thinking Hawpe could outproduce Hart this year but we shouldnt do could much in this game huh...Hart should be solid...anyway, so I just put my sunglasses on! ...its nighttime here in Miami.
Now if I can build a staff that isnt anything but TERRIBLE I should be sittin pretty this year! I usually like more ideas but I was thinking this one is a no brainer...Hart at #150 when he is averaging #105...I'll take it !
So I need a pitcher in a few picks though! Bedard just got picked after me!! Who should I take out of those above...hoping for Maine, Slowey, or Parra I think in that order....and only because I feel the others could be there the next round and/or I can get one of the closers who have about the same potential point output later in the draft (we can only start 7 per day so you cant just carry all relievers!). What do you guys think? THANKS AGAIN!
I'm not a Maine fan. I would take Slowey, Parra, Wandy, Cueto over him. I know you don't want a lot of closers, but Capps just needs chances to join the elite.

Yeah, I decided against Maine. Just picked up Kevin Slowey. I think he could be in for a great season. Hoping Parra is there on the way back! Capps usually falls farther than he should in this league and he is actually one of those closers that I will be targeting near the end of the draft! Thanks again!
