Rate My Keeper Team...Last Overall Pick

Believe it or not, in my four years of fantasy baseball, this is the first time I've had to work with the turnaround pick at the end of the first round. I think there's some room for improvement I'm looking at, but how does it look to you guys?

We keep 10, this was the first year of the league. Also, draft picks are set up odd, as the winner of the league gets the 1st overall pick next year.

I'm very happy with my SP depth. I think if Wainwright continues what he started last year, I may have SP #1a,1b,1c,1d. I like my front 5 well enough that I took flyers late on returns to form by Carp and Fausto. If one of them pays off, I'll have a strong staff and a guy to drop for the next Cliff Lee or Ervin Santana.

My CL are a little weak, but Putz is going to hock saves for the Mets, so I picked him up for HLDs and the occasional save. I was thinking of dropping LaRoche and picking up Rafael Perez to lock down my RP.

I plan to rotate Damon, Ethier and Hawpe in my last OF and UTIL spots (and occasionally Victorino) for some nice balance all around.

I like the team as is. I assume one of your Eithers (OF & UT) is actually Damon. Good blend of speed and power without any big hits on AVG. Pitching is very good and could be used as trade bait later if you suffer any major injuries. Lucky that Sandoval qualifies at CA in your league (he doesn't in mine).

Personally I love having the last pick, or at least being closer to the end than the front, that's a long way back to first while you watch a ton of talent fly off the board. The talent with a 12th and 13th pick usually far outweighs a 1st and 24th pick. Nice balanced team overall and I have no criticism what-so-ever. Curious as to how you managed to get two Andre Ethier's though. (Maybe you left someone out)

Haha I guess I'm lucky!! Jose Lopez and Pablo Sandoval have been gold picks for me in mocks and in this draft, because you can get them so late, allowing you to even reach for them a couple of rounds early and still be able to use your earlier picks on a smaller number of positions.

Oh and the second Andre Ethier should be Johnny Damon, I've changed it in the original post.
