In my league w/ my friends ($$$ league). 1 Year ago yesterday March 6, 2003 I traded my best friend Toby

I gave Nevin, some C, Palmiero, and Glavine

He gave Chavez, Bagwell, Lo Duca, Wakefield

Anyways the very next day March 7, 2003 Nevin went down and was out for the season.

Flash forward 1 year into 2004!

On Sat March 6, 2004

I traded my friend Toby

Nevin and Milwood
for
Huff

The very next day on March 7, 2004 Nevin goes down and hets hurt AGAIN....De Ja Vue

Wow that is unreal. What do u guys think of that story. By the way he said on March 6, 2005 he will trade me for Nevin again, to see if it happens 3 years in a row.

No, no, he's fine. Really. :-o Please let him be fine... :~(

Oh well, I got him in like the 12th round. Even if he's gone for most of the season on my DL, and comes back and hits like he did at the end of last season, it'll be worth it. But this doesn't sound all that terrible. He could be fine... right?
(taps little picture of a microphone)... is this thing on?

Wow, that could be a huge blow to the Padres and to a lot of fantasy teams. Thanks for the update. ;-D

Anybody hear anything new on Nevin? I've been checking the wire and it says he was to have an MRI today, but I haven't seen an update.
Let's go Mets!

3 to 4 weeks...
Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...

Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

Phil Nevin has a separated left shoulder and will miss the next 3-4 weeks.
The area that was surgically repaired last spring was still intact, the team said, but Nevin is likely to miss 3-4 weeks. While Nevin could return in early April, this should remind all fantasy buyers what a risk Nevin continues to be. Brian Buchanan will get most of the time at first base this week. If this became a long-term issue, they could move Ryan Klesko back to first and play Xavier Nady in the outfield.
