Drafted last night and had computer issues. I picked up to rd 8 then got auto-picked for rest of draft. I'm very concerned with my pitching. I have plenty of OF depth so do I offer Soriano for 2 mid-level P or do I try to get a top10 guy. Should I be resigned to overpaying-say Hart,Quentin, and Price for a top 25 SP and an upgrade to my RP. Is it better for me to make offers or put some feelers out and let them come to me.

Your pitching actually doesn't look too bad. You don't have an "ace" SP or a super-solid closer like Papelbon or Nathan, but you don't need players like them to win. Try trading for a few cheap SPs like the guys in Minnesota (Slowey, Baker, Perkins) and you should be looking a bit more solid.

I have to agree, I think that your pitching is not bad at all...Lackey is solid and there is a chance Billingsley may be an ace this year or close to it.

I noticed that you have way too much speed on your team, with Crawford, Ellsbury, Reyes and Figgins its overkill, especially in a H2H. I think thats where you should trade from, look for someone weak in steals and try to get a solid pitcher to slot in behind Billingsley and Lackey.

Before the season starts, you need to trade Figgins for someone with some power on the CI slot. You don't need the speed and you certainly don't need the crap numbers that he puts up. I'd like to see you flip Scherzer or Price for a more dependable starter. Too much risk having them as 40% of your staff with Kuroda as the fifth starter. You could probably pick up a horse off the waiver wire and package Figgins and Price/Scherzer for a legitimate power threat. I wouldn't trade Soriano or anyone else in your outfield. It's sweet. Let it be.
