You really reached for Butler there. Even in a dynasty, I think he drifts down to the later rounds.

Kazmir seems like the best all-around option on the board and if he falls to you, you should snap him up. If not, then it's either Milledge, Werth, or Cruz and I'd target Konerko later on.

Updated Roster:

C McCann, Brian ATL (5.03)
1B Konerko, Paul CHW (12.10)
2B
3B Ramirez, Aramis CHC (3.03)
SS Ramirez, Hanley FLA (1.03)
CI LaRoche, Adam PIT (13.03)
CI Butler, Billy KC (11.03)
MI Young, Michael TEX (9.03)
MI
LF Dunn, Adam WAS (6.10)
CF Kemp, Matt LAD (4.10)
RF Pence, Hunter HOU (7.03)
OF Hawpe, Brad COL (10.01)
OF
OF
DH

SP Santana, Johan NYM (2.10)
SP Santana, Ervin ANA (8.10)
SP Cain, Matt SF (14.10)
SP Lackey, John ANA (15.03)
RP
RP
RP
RP

Pitchers continue to fall extremely late because of the depth of our starting lineups...people eating up bottom tier CI/MI before tier 2-3 pitchers going. I resisted taking SP's after Ervin in the 8th for a long time, but finally the run has started, and Cain and Lackey are the last of the best pitchers remaining, so I grabbed them.

I really need a RP soon, but I also have some key MI/OF spots to fill, with not a lot left in the pool.

There are still a lot of good RP's left:

Valverde, Jose HOU
Capps, Matt PIT
Rivera, Mariano NY
Wood, Kerry CHC
Ryan, B.J. TOR
Cordero, Fransisco CIN
Street, Huston OAK
Wilson, Brian SF

OF's I'm looking at:
Werth, Jason PHI
Drew, J.D. BOS
Hermida, Jeremy FLA (would really like to hear some thoughts on this guy)

IF/DH I'm looking at:
Fontenot, Mike CHC
Lopez, Felipe ARI
Giambi, Jason OAK
Thome, Jim CHW
Hafner, Travis CLE (is this the right time to take a chance on this guy...or should I just completely stay away?)
Kouzmanoff, Kevin SD

I'm also wondering when it's time to start looking at really young/prospect type guys.

Looking at BP's list, guys like Maybin, Wieters, Lars Anderson, and Heyward are gone. I'm intrigued by Pedro Alvarez and Kendry Morales, for example. Is this a good time to start grabbing these guys?

Any thoughts appreciated, thanks for all the tips so far.

I like Fontenot too but I think he'll be stuck in a platoon situation this season. I like to have more power at DH and expect a nice bounce back from Giambi who's in great physical condition right now. Jump on Valverde first though Giambi should fall a couple more rounds. Grab Street later too, I like him more than Valverde and can't believe how far he's been falling in drafts.

Street likely splits time with Corpas.

I'm two picks away and Valverde and Werth are both gone. I think I'm going to grab the best RP available since I don't have one yet, and then grab a bat on the way back. I'm a little torn between Capps and Street at the moment. Capps looks like a really solid player, but his save chances will likely be very low for at least a couple seasons. Street looks like he has to beat out Manny Corpas to become the full-time closer.

Rivera is still there, as well as some other older guys, but I really don't want guys with that short of a window.

Any more thoughts on Capps v. Street?

Here are the guys I'm looking at on the way back (4 picks after I take a RP):

1. Shin-Soo Choo - not a big sample sizes on this guy but his minor league career looks pretty solid, and he had a great couple months at the end of 2008. I need to fill 2 more starting OF spots, and it's getting pretty thin.

Other OF's available: JD Drew, Jason Kubel, Coco Crisp

2. Kevin Kouzmanoff - I think he might have some upside, and could be a good pick here, but the problem is he doesn't help fill out my lineup, which is really important with how thin the player pool is right now. True, I need a DH, but I'm set at 3B/CI and still need 1 2B, 1 MI, and 2 OF, and they're basically gone.

3. Felipe Lopez/Mike Fontenot - Basically thinking of just grabbing the best available 2B since I'm hurting at 2B and my other MI spot. I think Fontenot might be available next round though.

Other 2B/MI: Greene, Renteria, M. Ellis, F. Sanchez

4. Kendry Morales - Not really considering him here but he's on my radar...what kind of long-term upside does this guy have?

Thanks for any and all responses, appreciated.

My pick:

16.10 Brian Fuentes, ANA RP

I'm up again in 4 picks, looking for a bat.

It'll be awhile before I'm up again...might be finally looking to grab a 2B, maybe Fontenot if he drops. Also I'll def. be looking at a DH type guy, Giambi, Thome...when would be a good time to look at Hafner?
