I'm not sure CBS sportsline has the best projections (in 2002 they projected Hee-Seop Choi would hit 38 homers), but you gotta give them props for fast and accurate player updates.

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=367584Pecota has historically been the most "accurate", which means they are about 60% right. None of them are gospel. I just typically download them, and average them "Wisdom Of Crowds"-style

The thing is, there is not going to be just one source that's always dead on with projections, because then everyone would use that source and there wouldn't have to be so many different places where you can find projections. Magazines tend to be outdated though. If you want to really get ready for a draft, take some time and look through the stats and get a feel for the players yourself. I typically just use averge/median draft positions as a guide and decide who I think is overrated (Chris Davis for example) and who I think is a good deal. In the articles section of this site there is a very comprehensive list of draft positions you should check out.

METS 24 wrote:Everyone is saying that "Baseball Prospectus" is the most accurate with "PECOTA" but I just picked up a copy & I think it is absolute garbage. It has a healthy A-Rod projected at .282-30-98 & half of the players are on the wrong teams as if this was written at the end of last season. It also has many big boppers missing the 100 rbi mark which is insane. How can they predict someone who bats in the meat of the line-up & hits over 35 hr not to drive in at least 100? Now that I already wasted my time & money can someone please give me a good source for more accurate player projections. Thanks for the read.
Haha.. i did a google search to answer the question of this topic and this thread came up.

For what it's worth, I agree with TheRock.
Now that I've found this site, maybe I can get 'Fantasy Smart'
