What Rays Pitcher in 2009?

Postby rib217 » Wed Feb 18, 2009 4:59 pm

KAZMIR---SHIELDS---PRICE---GARZA

Pretty enticing selection.

However is the Rays being in the AL East reason to only own one of these guys on your fantasy team? If so which one is the best in 2009?

I'd assume the selection is narrowed to Kazmir or Shields?
FYI my pitching categories in 12 team roto: W L K Era Whip QS Sv

I like Shields, but I actually think I'll end up with Price the most, because you can get him in like the 12th Round instead of the 6th where Kazmir and Shields are going.

Best season--- Shields.

Best chance for a great season--- Kazmir.

Studs for the next few years--- Price and Garza.

Sonnastine. An awesome #5 starter. A late round flier in your draft serves him right.

From bigwords!

I'll agree with jlm. The safest bet would obviously be Shields, while Kazmir and Price are more gamble picks.

I have Garza for a buck in a keeper league, last year of 3 year contract. I have Kazmir too but he's going to be $15 so I think that Garza will win? I have until Wed to make up my mind but I can't resist $14 extra to toss around our auction...

I think Garza is going so late in drafts it's ridiculous. He is easily the best bargain out of those and the only one I expect to have on any teams this year.
