I like Shields, but I actually think I'll end up with Price the most, because you can get him in like the 12th Round instead of the 6th where Kazmir and Shields are going.
Shields. Honestly, he is the one guy on the Rays team that I don't think they could afford to lose. The Rays played without Longo, BJ, CC, Kaz, Bartlett, and Pena last year and were fine. Shields goes out every time and gives you at least 6-7 innings of good baseball and keeps you in the game. For fantasy purposes he keeps his whip down, era pretty solid, good number of K's and usually leaves a game with a shot at the win. He is the best pitcher on the staff right now, but doesn't have the upside that Price does. Price will be good this season, but he will still have some ups and downs. For me it is Shields.
I have Garza for a buck in a keeper league, last year of 3 year contract. I have Kazmir too but he's going to be $15 so I think that Garza will win? I have until Wed to make up my mind but I can't resist $14 extra to toss around our auction...
I think Garza is going so late in drafts it's ridiculous. He is easily the best bargain out of those and the only one I expect to have on any teams this year.
