May need two owners-Dynasty CBS Salary Cap league

Postby beeco » Wed Feb 18, 2009 2:21 pm

$50.00 to get in, all but CBS fees go back into prizes. 1st Place $260.00, 2nd place $130.00, 3rd place $50.00

May need some backups for possible replacements for teams who have not paid yet. I do not allow teams to draft who are not paid up!!

Salary cap of $280 per team, team built through auction draft Monday March 9th, 2009 @ 7:30 PM EST.

Starting rosters: 1 each of 1st, 2nd, 3rd bases, SS, DH, U,.... 3 man OF, and 5 starting pitchers, 5 reserve pitchers.
10 reserve, 10 prospects, and 6 IR spots. Daily rosters setting with weekly scoring.

Prospects can be designated by the MLB ROY standard, and can stay in the prospect list indefinitely.

Scoring batting categories:
Singles 1 point
doubles 2 points
Triples: 3 points
BB Walks: 1 point
GRand Slam Home Run: 25 points
HR: 4 points
KO: -.25
R: Runs
RBI's: 2 points
SB: 2 points

Scoring pitching categories:
BBI: -.5 points
Blown Saves: -10 points
Complete games: 20 points
ER: -1.5 points
Holds: 10 points
Innings: 2 points
K's: 1 points
Losses: -7.5 points
Saves: 15 points
Wins: 15 points

In this league the pitching staff is held accountable to it's quality of it's starts. With negative points for ER's, losses, Blown Saves, and walks. This scoring is not a wild test, it is a proven method, and is the best way to stop teams from loading up on two start pitchers and adds a lot of strategy to the league. With daily settings you will be able to get the proper pitching matchups for your team.

15 players kept each year with a 5% salary increase each season. All eligible prospects can be carried over as well.
Traded players can be assigned a 5% reduction in salary, but the player cannot be dropped or moved for 3 months.
This is too make this league trade active, and keep the salaries in check.

Prospects do not take on a salary until they come off the prospect list. Waiver wire acquisitions will take on the salary that cost the team to get the player off FAAB.

Any questions, please feel free to ask. I need an active and knowledgeable owner ASAP, so please feel free to ask me anything.

Good opportunity for someone with fantasy experience who needs a challenge.

Long time commissioner with multiple leagues in 3 sports. So I am not one of these guys who thinks he knows how to run a league.

Thanks

Brad
