Time to select keepers. I hope some of you can give me your insights.
It's a 10 team points league and we have to keep 6 guys.
As you can see batters outscore pitchers in a 2:1 ratio so I probably should keep batters only.
Scoring:
R 2
1B 1
2B 3
3B 6
HR 4
RBI 2
SF 1
SB 4
CS -2
BB 1
K -1
GS 1
W 5
L -2
CG 5
SHO 10
SV 5
ER -1
BB -1
K 2
GIDP 2
HLD 3
I added last years points for each player.
Albert Pujols (StL - 1B) 898
Bobby Abreu (LAA - OF) 769
Jimmy Rollins (Phi - SS) 766
Corey Hart (Mil - OF) 683
Prince Fielder (Mil - 1B) 678
Brian McCann (Atl - C) 637
Adam Dunn (Was - 1B,OF) 615
Jason Giambi (Oak - 1B) 560
Rickie Weeks (Mil - 2B) 523
Alex Gordon (KC - 1B,3B) 496
Yunel Escobar (Atl - 2B,3B,SS) 495
Jeff Francoeur (Atl - OF) 469
Ryan Zimmerman (Was - 3B) 386
Ian Stewart (Col - 2B,3B) 232
Dan Haren (Ari - SP) 428
Mike Mussina (NYY - SP) 358
Mariano Rivera (NYY - RP) 356
Gil Meche (KC - SP) 318
Brian Wilson (SF - RP) 304
Brian Fuentes (LAA - RP) 288
Bronson Arroyo (Cin - SP) 284
Matt Cain (SF - SP) 271
Jered Weaver (LAA - SP) 246
Tim Hudson (Atl - SP) 190
Clayton Kershaw (LAD - SP) 160
Chris Young (SD - SP) 147
Which 6 should I keep?
Thanks in advance.

This seems pretty straight forward to me. With your league perimeters offense reigns supreme, but.
Pujols
Rollins
Fielder
Hart
McCann
Haren (Workhorse who does not breakdown, I have him in two keepers and he does not disappoint )
Abreu is another year older and I have a bad feeling he will breakdown this year (Nothing more than a gut feeling).

I agree with previous posts. This seems pretty straight forward. I would go with the offensive big guns that you have and then build on your pitching throughout the draft.

Normally I wouldn't dream of keeping a catcher, but McCann is the best hitting catcher in the league and probably more productive that a lot of other players who get drafted. I enjoy having a big slugging 1st baseman in my utility spot as well and would salivate over a Fielder/Pujols combo. I like the selection quoted above. You don't want to keep Mo-Riv, that's just crazy talk, he's like pushing 70 or something.
