Devine worth waiver priority #1 ? ? ?

Postby theinflatinator91 » Tue Feb 17, 2009 6:24 pm

Someone just dropped him in my league. This is a standard 12 team Yahoo league, and my other closers are Joe Nathan and Mark Lowe.

If he is worth the waiver priority who should I drop?

Jimmy Rollins
Evan Longoria
Justin Morneau
Brian Roberts
Alexei Ramírez
Joe Nathan
Ryan Ludwick
Adam Dunn
Jon Lester
Adam Wainwright
Joey Votto
Justin Upton
Erik Bedard
Torii Hunter
Nelson Cruz
Johnny Cueto
Milton Bradley
Joe Saunders
Justin Duchscherer
Pablo Sandoval
Mark Lowe

If not worth my waiver and he is there on Thursday who should I drop (if anyone) to get him?

Thanks your help is much appreciated!

Devine's not assured to close, but I like his odds better than Lowe's. I think it's worth the switch, but I don't know about the WW priority. There's a good chance someone better will get dropped sometime this season.

That is what I was thinking. I didnt want to wast the priority, but if he clears I am going to drop Lowe for him...

i'd drop saunders or lowe for devine, though with the way yahoo adds prospects during the season, i think it's probably best to save the #1 waiver pick.

I'm confident Brad Ziegler will be the closer to open the season, if your really desperate for saves try Tyler Walker. No one appears to be drafting him except me (last round pick usually). So I wouldn't blow that waiver claim or Devine (or Walker for that matter... if he's there let him clear waivers.)

I'm confident Devine will close in OAK, pick him up & I see a huge downer for Saunders, drop him.

Devine is ridiculous. He's given up like 1 homer in the past 2 years. But....

I don't think many closers are worth a #1 in Yahoo.
