keep 1: longoria, hamels, halladay

Postby slagbot » Tue Feb 17, 2009 6:08 pm

first year in a keeper league, we're keeping 2 from last year's roster. i've got hanram, so the second slot is the tough one. roto league, stats that count are R, H, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, A, FPCT, AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS, W, CG, SHO, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP, K/9, NH, PG.

Halladay has a huge CG upside, but Hamels was starting to throw more CGs and SHOs at the end of last year. Longoria and Hamels have youth.

Thanks!

When all else seems even - keep the bat. ;-D

I would say Longoria, but with all those cats, I honestly can't say if Halladay or Hamels would be more valuable than Evan.

i forgot to mention, i won the league last year so i'll be drafting last. if i keep longoria, i'd probably go pitcher first round even though i've never been on board with that in non-keeper leagues. am i on the right track there?

Mid-tier pitching is a dime a dozen. The only thing that makes me wonder is Halladay's overwhelming advantage in CG. Still, I think you have to take Longoria in a keeper.
