Where do you guys feel the strength is with types of players?

What Strategy should i look to implement when I draft a team?

Head to Head

Roster Positions:

C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, Util

SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P

BN, BN, BN, BN, DL

Stat Categories:

H, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, XBH

IP, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, QS

this is really a huge question. basically everything you could read about fantasy baseball ever would have to be included in a good answer. i'd suggest you do some basic google searches for fantasy baseball strategies and come back with a more refined question. also, maybe put it in the beginner's forum.

i hate to say it, but if there is no transaction limit the settings make it so you have to stream SP. i hate streaming as much as anyone, but adding IP and QS and it being H2H lend itself to streaming. so dont draft any SP early at all, and just stream throughout the seaosn to win W, IP, K, and QS

so I'm asking advice on how do you more experienced players see this league turning out and

what strategy would you would consider when going to draft your team.

i played fbbal last season but did not do any research, and as result i did not do to well. i have better knowledge of fantasy sport through a football and basketball season but I am trying build a foundation for when i put together my rankings.

just some experienced input/opinion - thats all I'm asking.

holy crap...thats really small. i would have to suggest upping that amount. injuries and such make it so 10 just isnt enough. but w a small transaction limit it makes quality SP very valuable. i would get 2 stud SP early, as waiting on SP is ok if you can live w them failing, which you cant here as you only get 10 transactions.

this will leave you a little short on hitting cats, but it will be worth it imo, as mid round batters are more secure than mid round SP. i think security is the most important factor bc you only have 10 trans

what would be considered small? I want to keep people from just picking up SP off the WW to pump their IP and other pitching cats.

15? 20? 25?

security is what I'm going I'm going for. so key additions are my idea, i want to make the draft and important process.

10 isn't bad for a contract league, since you're committed to those players.

I'd say 25 would be appropriate for a redraft league.

60 or 80 works fine. 40 would also work and be a little closer to what you are wanting to do. w a 25 or 26 week season, you see how even 80 would not allow too much streaming(80/25=3.something). you can also limit transactions per week(i know yahoo has this now), to accomplish what you are wanting w/o limiting total yearly totals
or you can do net QS instead of QS to limit streaming

and i must add, adding IP and QS really reduces the value of RP. you just added 2 SP cats w/o adding a RP cat. i would think about that(my suggestion would to remove Ip and add holds as i like holds, but thats just me)

or better yet unlimited moves with a limit on the # per week?
