diesel trade HELP WHIR

Postby Fred_merritt » Mon Feb 16, 2009 4:45 pm

I'm getting

placido polanco
cc sabathia
johan santana

I'm trading

brian roberts
brandon webb
cliff lee

cc and johan or houses and they are both way better than lee or webb but roberts is better than polanco... should I not be concerned with the gap between polanco and roberts in order to get johan and cc or should I just keep lee and webb who are great players anyway?

I like the trade. Who knows what will happen with Roberts numbers with his age and I'm sure Cliff Lee will not have a repeat year like last. I'd totally do it.. It would be helpful to know what other FA 2nd basemen are available...

thats the problem there aren't a whole lot of good 2nd basemen still available, but i was thinking that I have kerry wood jokiam soria and bobby jenks, so if I couple polanco and a cl to someone who is in need for a closer I could probably get a good 2nd basemen in return.

Id do it too. Santana and CC could be the top 2 SP in baseball next year.

I would do it. If you say that Webb and CC are about even, maybe a slight edge to Webb then the trade breaks down to Cliff Lee and Brian Roberts for Placido and Johan. I think getting Johan is to big of an opportunity to pass up on. You can find a serviceable 2B in return for getting the best pitcher in the game hands down.

Definitely go for it.

Johan > Webb
CC > Roberts
Lee >>>>>>>>>>> Polanco

It's clear cut for you.
