Who would you keep??

Postby Barnes » Mon Feb 16, 2009 1:19 pm

out of these players, which 5 would you keep? Josh hamilton, Xavier Nady, Chipper Jones, Melvin Mora, Ryan Zimmerman, Chase Utley, Magglio ordonez, Travis Hafner, Juan Pierre, Pudge.

The obvious ones are Hamilton, Utley, and Ordonez. To me tyhat leaves 2 more ppl (as i already have 5 pitchers kept). Zimmerman will be my next choice, but i am finding hard to part with Chipper's average however this is a keeper league and he is old. The there is Hafner, who could bounce back or could be atrocius yet again.

I am keeping my best pitchers, but i believe I am going to trade them off this season for offense, as i see that one can pick up numerous quality pitchers off the waiver wire or during the draft.

A few questions from a a nOOb (me): What does WHIR mean? and how do you post a link to your questions on a msg? i see some say "please help" at the bottom o ftheir msg and the link leads them to there question?

thanks.

Definitely keep the ones you mentioned, plus Zim & Chipper. Chipper will most likely be able to help your team this year, but pick some up & comers in your draft to keep next year.

There have been numerous threads discussing the full meaning of "WHIR". Too complex to get into here. Try the search feature.

i was thinking the same about Zim and Chipper, however then i have 2 3B, i guess one can be a Util. however i don't think Nady's numbers last season with Pitt and NY were a fluke.

thanks a lot!
