EVEN TRADE???

Postby amarlls » Sun Feb 15, 2009 9:37 am

Hey guys is this even trade? ive got teams that are objecting my trades just out of spite. My team got auto drafted as well as others in league because CBS site went down as we were in draft but there was like 3-4 teams that somehow went all the way through draft.

My holliday 16th pick for his Linecum 19th pick
My Ichiro 25th pick for his hamels 39th pick
My Joba, pierre, hughes for his Burnett
I think Joba has just as much chance as Burnett does with higher ceiling. plus he needed speed so gave him pierre, and hes yankees fan so took hughes. AND hes the one who offered the trade in the first place. I need pitching bad

I'd do the Ichiro for Hamels pick in a heartbeat. That's a top 5 pitcher for downward turning batter.

Holliday for Lincecum seems okay at first, but then your OF is going to be extremely shallow. Plus you don't know what you'll get out of Holliday. Do it if you feel Lincecum will continue on his tear from last year. But if you feel a break down from his increased innings, then maybe hold off.

AJ Burnett for the other players seems like a reach. Count me out of the AJ camp. He's over-hyped and over-priced because he's with the Yankees and over-paid and over-hyped. How much time on the DL do you expect this year?

My holliday 16th pick for his Linecum 19th pick,,,,,,,,not questionable
My Ichiro 25th pick for his hamels 39th pick,,,,,,,,,,,,not questionable
My Joba, pierre, hughes for his Burnett,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,not questionable

I do prefer your side on all of the trades, but they aren't bad trades for the other teams involved

tell 'em to quit moaning ;-)

First off, no one should be moaning. These trades are very fair. I like both the Lincecum and Hamels deals and would do them although it would leave your OF shallow but I think you need the pitching upgrades. As, I told you before I don't like the Burnett deal at all for you so I wouldn't do that one.

please help

Well, it wouldn't surprise me to see Joba outperform Burnett but I think they will be pretty equal this year or close to it. Burnett will probably burn up more innings if he stays healthy but other than that I see a lower ERA and WHIP for Joba, about the same amount of K's for both guys and similar amount of wins. It sounds like you want Burnett so if you do I wouldn't have a problem with the deal I just think its almost a wash between the two of them and I like Joba's upside more than Burnett's.

No. Instead of offering Joba for AJ, why don't you offer guys like Damon, C Young, V Wells for a sp, and keep Joba?
