berkman, pierre, ichiro (on the decline, honestly i expect an average season. He'll get about 35 steals and maybe 10 HR while batting about .310. Completely unbiased, I think Rocco Baldelli will compare favorably to Ichiro all-around this year. He'll get 30+ steals, prolly hit 15-20 dingers, more RBI, prolly a little less runs scored, and a little less avg.)

I am in the minority here but I think that Giles is the safer choice but Berkman is primed for a huge season, IMHO.

I'd take Berkman over Giles too and rank them Berkman/Giles/Ichiro/Pierre.

I like them both quite a bit actually. Both are among my personal favorites for an OF pick late 3rd or 4th round. I think Berkman gets a ton of RBI. I'm hoping for .285 100 40 120 4.

I'd predict 140 RBI's if he hits in the 4 hole for most of the year.

Berkman....Giles is 33 or 34 and I don't think he is going to put up any better numbers than he has before. Stil solid, but he won't have anything better and the right field fence at Petco is deep and hes a lefty.

Berkman led the NL in RBIs 2 years ago and I don't see why he can't put up 130 RBI in that lineup.
