Advice on trade??

Postby amarlls » Sat Feb 14, 2009 8:47 pm

I got offered linecum, carmona and hamels for my Ichiro and Holliday? will i be losing too much doing this. I need the pitching but hate to lose the high average of these guys, and homers and steals also. Let me know what you think and advice?

Do this and laugh. By far getting the better end of the deal. Holliday is going to struggle in AL

I like this deal a lot and you have the reserve OF's to make it happen.

Timmy is drafted around Holliday so that is a wash, Ichiro and Hamels are drafted around each other, and that is a wash. Carmona is a rebound candidate, but doesn't really factor into me taking this deal. Your team needs pitching, and has extra OF, so its a good deal.

If it's a start 6 OF league you may now be thin, but your staff is now stacked.

I think the trade was better before you added Joba in the deal but I just think Joba is in for a big year. Overall it is still a nice deal for you and you came out on top getting some much needed upgrades in pitching. Nice job.

Probably not but it all depends on whether Burnett can stay healthy and if Joba is in the starting rotation. Lots of question marks around both guys. Remember Burnettt wasnt great last year posting pretty high ERA and WHIP. But, I have a feeling both these guys could have similar stats..like around 13-15 wins, 190ks, ERA below 4 etc. I think they are actually pretty equal but if I had to pick for this year I would pick Burnett but for years to come you gotta think Joba will surpass AJ in all cats.
