Mets' outfield?

Postby Robert1977 » Sat Feb 14, 2009 12:03 pm

Thanks to everyone who ahs helped me in the past. I have another question for all the experts out there: I'm in a 6X6, 12-team, NL-only (doubles+triples, SB-CS are the added categories) and I can keep Fernando Tatis at $3. Should I do it?

Tough to tell at this point...that could be a crowded outfield. I saw talk of Murphy playing 2B so then maybe Tatis starts but otherwise he could be platooning imo. Depends alot on ST and how the 2B situation turns out I guess. I havent played leagues where you bid on players tho so take that into consideration with this advice!

Help with mine please?

It's going to be a platoon with Murphy in left field. Castillo will be the starting 2B, not Murphy. Tatis will only get AB's against lefties. I'd pass.

Tatis may not help you to start the season, but he could become valuble by mid-seaon. If Castillo or Church (one's old the other's fragile) go down, then Tatis is an everyday starter in a potent lineup. If you're gonig to have room on your bench for him, I'd try to hold on to him. I don't think you'll be able to get him for $3 or less. He made a splash towards the end of last season and people have him on their radar.

I have a $271 cap for a roster that is between 29 and 33 players.
