Liriano, Lee, and Lester are my narrowed choices and they are all fairly even. I'm giving the edge to Lester because he is just a little safer than Liriano. Both of those guys were still developing last year, but run support and bullpen push Lester ahead of Liriano. A lot went right for Lee last year and it's unlikely everything will go right again.
looks like we've found a new tier. some injury history guys, some upside guys, some 2008 breakouts, and one crappy pitcher.
i went with cliff lee, but i'd be just about as happy with gallardo or liriano. and i'd feel ok with lester, greinke, or dice-k here too. i don't totally trust burnett, but as a yankee, he'll be right there.
volquez is outside this tier to me...he has A LOT to prove, and obviously zambrano is too.

And here I thought the crappy pitcher you were refering to was Cliff Lee.
BTW just don't get the Liriano love, he has had 2 or 3 very serious injuries to his arm, yet your trusting him this high? He also has yet to prove anything over a full season.
