Tough one. I went with John Lester, Jon Lester's bizzaro twin. He had cancer as a child but came back from chemo to pitch in the little league world series at the age of 16. Everybody felt sorry for him so he was given a free pass, which he used all the way up to the major leagues where he has become a multiple Cy Young winner.
