Keeper trade......WHIR

Postby Guzman24 » Sat Feb 14, 2009 1:56 am

10 Team H2H 6x6 (BB/QS) 7 Keepers

I need to pick 7 keepers from this list of 8. im having a really tough time cutting someone so I'm trying to put together a 2 for 1 trade. Which 2 would you look to deal???

Wright,Howard,Soriano,Upton,Kemp,Hamilton,Hamels,Rollins

I could possibly get one of MCab or Tex from one team.

Or I could possibly do something along the lines of 2 or my OF's and Hamels for Lincecum and Sizemore.

Any thoughts on which direction to go???

I would go for the trade. Could Upton and Kemp be your 2 OF's for Siezomore? That would be solid. If not, I'd still trade Hamilton and either Upton or Kemp with Hamels for Lincecum and Siezomre. I like Lincecum over Hamels, his ERA and K's are about as good as you're going to get.

That's a pretty nice team regardless.

I think that any of your outfielders plus Hamels is a fair proposal for Lincecum. Sizemore probably won't happen because he's probably the other guy's best player or close to it.

So, if I offer up any 2 of my OF's and Hamels for Size/Lince this would be a good enough deal??? Im upgrading nicely on both sides I believe and the other manager is still getting great return.

Any 2 you would trade for MCab or is that a pretty lateral move considering MCab would then fill up my UT spot?

I am always puzzled by people who make 2-3 or 1-2 trades that involve players that are starters on a roster. i.e. trading a bench player is not a big deal, but when you trade 2 every day starters and only get one in return. There may be equal stats in the trade, but more importantly you will have a roster hole to fill. In some cases a 2-3 type trade works, in this one I would be suprised if he went for it. Thats just my opinion

Bottom line I always favor the bats over the arms. Year to year the bats are more consistent.

Thanks for you help

Im doing a 2 for 3 becuause I have 8 top 35 players, 4 of which are OF's and I can only keep 7.

I like the two OF's and Hamels for Lincecum and Sizemore trade if you can get it done! If not, I consider dropping Hamels and finding another potential stud like GALLARDO (thanks with mine :-) ) down the road. Reason being I dont see pitching as being that short of supply in a 10 team league

Got 'er done.

Unfortunately he chose Hamilton and Upton with Hamels but I think Sizemore is definitely in a league above those two.

Keepers are now: Wright,Sizemore,Howard,Rollins,Soriano,Kemp,Lincecum ;-D
