Its a 12 team standard ESPN 5x5 H2H league. We keep 7.
My keepers:
Reyes
Sizemore
Tex
Aramis
Davis
Bruce
Hamels
Also on my team are Felix, Kazmir and K-Rod.
I won the league last season so I get the last pick in a snaking draft. I just moved K-Rod for a 3rd round pick (wasn't keeping him anyway) and I have been offered another 3rd round pick for Felix. That would give me three 3rd round picks (actually 10th given the keepers) and the first pick in the 4th.
Is it a no brainer that I take this pick? I'm having trouble upgrading my keepers so is hoarding picks the way to go?
I have just moved K-Rod

I see no reason not to. If you're having trouble upgrading your keepers, get what you can. Better to hoard picks than let them fall back to the draft pool.

Ya I agree. Get what you can in picks or try and deal 2 for 1 for an upgrade somewhere. Felix and Bruce/Davis should net you something good.

Just take the extra pick

You're getting a leg up from something or someone you can't keep. Even if the value isn't great, you're getting someone to take an extra player when cutting is the name of the game, and if you get too fancy here, you risk losing getting something for "free".
Giddy-up.

I ended up talking him into giving me his early 2nd round pick (9th round counting keeper rounds). I think its pick #16. I now essentially have 3 of the first 16 picks (picking form the 12th position). I'm happy with the result.
Now if I can only unload Kaz. Not sure if I'll have any takers given they've already seen me acquire 2 early picks.
