Whats your thoughts on Brandon Allen for the White Sox? What kind of major leaguer do you see him as being? I was thinking similar to a Mark Reynolds type player for the Diamondbacks..Give me some good info on this player.

He looks like player who could develope into a 25-30 HR 1B, he also mixes in some SB's...17 last year. Could be ready in a couple years when Konerko hangs it up. Fringe top 100 prospect...but doesnt look like he will ever hit for average.

Yup, see Mike Jacobs. I don't think his speed will translate either.

late bloomer - big strides in power and, more importantly, plate discipline last year....i expect the progression to continue in 2009 - one of the most under-rated prospects in baseball......key indicator - his ratios held up following his promotion........definitely has to work on hitting lefties, but he kills righties now and i think he has all-star potential

comp? - derrek lee is a nice one

I agree with what's been said. I do see him as the perennial replacement to Konerko. I think at his ceiling he is a 25 hr, 5 spot hitter, IMO.
Is pushing for President Obama to pass a law requiring all citizens to be Chicago White Sox fans and make October 1st "White Sox Day" where we all dress as our favorite player. It maybe socialist, but I don't care.
