I have an open late-round slot in an 18-team points league with each keeper's draft round set according to the previous year's round (25 rounds total). Both Kennedy and De la Rosa ended up on my final roster last year -- which SP is the better keeper this year and for the future? Thanks, and leave your link.
Yikes. I'd say Kennedy, since at least he has some upside for the future. De La Rosa has a better chance to be productive in 2009, although likely he'll just stink it up. If you are looking at 2010 and beyond, it's gotta be Kennedy.
between those 2 I'd go with Kennedy, as he had a pretty good minor league career, plus the fact he'll be pitching for a good offensive team that can give him alot of run support. Links.
I'd go with De La Rosa for this year. He may have turned the corner in the 2nd half last year (look at the numbers their solid), and he's guaranteed a starting job.
Kennedy wont get much of an opportunity behind CC, AJ, Wang, Joba, Pettite, Hughes, and Aceves.
De La Rosa has got some upside, a better chance to start, and even in Coors he could be solid with that K/GB combo. I mean K rate was almost at 9, solid GB%, and his BB rate will improve.
