Its my pick: Valverde or Fuentes

Standard Roto who do you go with?

I'm leaning toward Fuentes simply because of the system he is in. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.

I'd go with Fuentes, better pitcher and better job security.

Fuentes, I'm huge on him this year. Anaheim tends to play in a lot of close games and he had a 1.84 ERA away from Coors last year. He's gonna be a stud this year.

I disagree. Pitchers moving from the NL to the AL scare me a little. I would lean slightly towards Valverde, but you should be OK either way.

I would lean towards Valverde. You know what you are getting with him. He's not old and there is no reason he won't have an ERA in the low 3's with a WHIP around 1.20 or better and 35+ saves (he's had at least 44 the past two seasons). Fuentes might give you that too, but there are more question marks with him, changing teams with several other RPs that COULD take over (Houston has no one else that really could close). I'd take the reliability over the potentially slightly better season.

I like Fuentes better for reasons GF said. With Valverde, I normally get the sneaking suspicion he blows up every other year (he didn't in 2008 though), but that's just me. Nonetheless, I really like Fuentes to have a solid season.
