They really have no shot, nowhere near enough talent on their roster. They need to wait for Hosmer and Moustakas to get called up and hope Gordon/Butler step it up and even then, they need more pitching after Greinke.

There were some really smart people that knew the Rays were going to be good last year. The Royals have very little upside. As bad as that division looks to be, the Royals still have no chance.

I would say the royals have about the same chance to win the central as the Orioles have to win the AL East...

They have a new GM who worked under John Schurolz (sp?) in Atlanta, who happened to be the GM for the Royals during their glory years. They won't win the division this year, that's absurd. But they will be a much improved team and you can expect them to contend for the division title as soon as next year.

You must have missed the part where their new GM makes really terrible decisions and signs below-average players to absurd contracts. :-D

I don't know, Guillen and Jacobs were both pretty bad moves, and signing guys like Willie Bloomquist don't help either.
