Hanley Kinsler Trade

Postby zpoole » Thu Feb 12, 2009 10:37 pm

Ok i offerd Kinsler/Pence/wainwright for Hanley

He countered with
Kinsler/wainwright/Liriano for Hanley/H. Matsui/J. Sanchez

I don't know much about Sanchez

And I feel that Matsui isn't much of a upgrade for my outfield (see roster below) but I would love Hanley.

What do you guys think.

I don't know if I'd do either deal to tell you the truth. Kinsler is maybe the #2 2b right now. Wainright is solid, as is Pence. Sure, Hanley is a stud, but you could do worse than Furcal. That said, you have to give up talent to gain talent. I'd probably offer Furcal in a deal and see where that goes. otherwise, you end up with two SS and no 2b.

I have utley at 2B, not a bad replacement for Kinsler :). I am trying to gain some talent with Kinsler.

You have enough arms to be able to move both Wainwright and Liriano, Utley replaces Kinsler ,who cares about the rest.

sorry! didn't see that IF position. I just looked on the bench!

Try offering Zambrano instead of Liriano. If he won't take that, I'd do the current deal.

As stated, you definately have the arms to pull off this deal and you should do the deal asap. The fact that you have Utley to fill in at 2B. You have lots of good options to trade with for SP and/or OF down the road if need be. Help with mine viewtopic.php?t=367319&start=10

I like it for you.

1. You have the arms to deal from
2. If I am reading it right you could slide Utley to second and move Chris Davis off your bench and into the IF spot.

Its a good fair trade.

since you have utley already that is a steal for you. grab a hot 2b to play if he misses any time.
