I picked up Downs also as I have Hoff on DL. I won't be happy that I have cheap saves until I see an "Sv" with his name next to it next week.

True, but it's better than letting the 'possibility' lie somewhere else.
This is what you get when you don't 'pay' for saves.

If you had to choose between Downs or Villanueva which do you think will be more effective and could see holding the job longer?

Does Carlson have any value?

Unfortunately he's a LHP like Downs is, so I would speculate that you'd be more likely to see one of Jason Frasor or Brandon League vulture a Save against Righties, barring a Downs meltdown (at which point they may look to Carlson), and this is all presuming, of course, that Ryan doesn't come back soon, if he ever leaves to begin with. :*)

Devine going to see Dr. Andrews that sucks for my team. Ziegler is owned and I just don't think he will do that well today. Who's next if/when Zieg struggles? Casilla?

He didn't do to poorly when given a chance at it last year.

I'm thinking it'll be whoever is hot when they feel they have to change.
Casilla/Springer/Blevins are the options.

I'm struggling with the same. Villanueva hasn't even been named closer, and maybe won't be. I only have 2 closers on my roster, but not sure either is worth my #2 waiver claim.

Any chance with Lyon struggling and Ryan Perry showing that he can handle pitching to Major Leaguers they give him a shot at Closing?

Perry has looked pretty darned good in ST.
