Is it just me or do the A's have more chronically injured players than any other team?
Yeah, the position players all get back injuries and the pitchers get elbow/shoulder injuries. I said in another thread - worst medical staff in the bigs.
Don't you think part of that has to do with the moneyball philosophy?
No

Of all the consultations I've read about in the last few years, I've seen just one (and I'm sorry I can't remember who) where Andrews hasn't had to do anything. I don't think teams go to him for fun. He really is the grim reaper of pitching.
Hey, if you get paid to do surgery, and everyone considered you THE expert on determining who needs surgery, wouldn't you send very few away as well?
lol Interesting theory

I think there are too many forums here. I think it's very hard to find what you're looking for when you first join. After a short while you know where to go, but IMO there are way too many forums.

and looked good this spring..on paper that could have been a confusing bullpen to sort out if Papelbon were out..strong candidates abounded heading into ST (ramon ramirez has taken a step back).

With Devine out, Ziegler takes over the closer’s role, and Bob Geren said Russ Springer and Santiago Casilla could also be called upon on days Ziegler isn’t available for the ninth. Springer, 40, was signed to be an eighth-inning man and has just eight saves in his 16 big league seasons. Casilla has four saves, seeing just the occasional ninth-inning opportunity in recent seasons with Oakland. “Casilla is definitely throwing the ball right now where I would have confidence putting him in the ninth inning too,” Geren said.

I brought this up but Havok wanted to wait and see if he's healthy first before annoiting him next in line. I think it's safe to put him up now, especially with Ray, Zumaya, and a few others on the board.

Where is the fun in that? His posts deserved to be exposed in public. If you don't want to read it, then don't.
Dude, please take your internet ego somewhere else where someone might actually care. Noone here does.
I can't help but read your b.s. as I try to parse my way to actual closer information.
Now go ahead and post something else stupid in this thread because you can't drop it.
