If you keep checking it out through the season, and I mean daily, you will have a leg up in your league when it comes to closers.
I'll echo the chorus and agree on what a great thread/resource this is!
Quick question- Saito isn't in the Red Sox picture as a possible replacement to close, should Papelbon go down? Early reports I've seen have Saito healthy and throwing well...

Not sure but I would imagine Delcarmen would have first crack to close should something happen to Pap...Francona loves him
Of course, it also remains to be seen how well Saito is throwing in ST

Do you have a source on that or just speculation?
isn't he starting games for the Cubs this upcoming spring training? I mean he was a starting pitcher in the minors. Going into the season he'll be in the bullpen but a couple of years from now the Cubs won't resort to using him as a middle reliever no way.
Right now Marshall is the leading candidate for the 5th spot in the rotation. And I assume that Harden will be limited to 5-6 innings, to keep him healthy, so that really compicates, how the Cubs pen will look like.
Don't know what Lou has in mind, but I would use Gregg. (I'll explane the reasoning behind that if necessary)

'Villa in Mil probably looks to do the best copycat but rhe answer is Not really at this point but a few to keep an eye on are Nieve and Paulino in Houston, Carpenter if he's moved to the pen in STL, Cabrera if moved to pen in WAS, Price if he doesn't win a rotation spot, Smarjida if he wins a rotation spot and loses it, Wakefield though without the K's, McDomald in LAD. My best advise, wait a while and see how things shack up..

The Rays want him in the rotation. If he doesn't win a spot he will go down the minors. I don't think the Rays will use him in the pen. They would move others there first IMO. They used him in the playoffs, but that was different. Could happen I guess, but I don't see it.
